Years ago I wanted information on a dog breed...I said I'll buy a book...couldn't find a book anywhere. Ran bookshops I found in the phone book...none had any books on this breed...what a different story today...everything at my fingertips.

This happens all the time...it's worse when you're in the middle of writing a post...don't see this elsewhere too.

Before the Internet...books were the only way to learn but those days are long gone just like newspapers and video shops.

Welcome to the Forum. You might be better off trying more user friendly Distros like...Mint...Linux Lite...Kubuntu or Xubuntu.

Rootkits...malware...viruses and ransomware are very dangerous...you must do everything to protect your files and...hang on this isn't a windoze Forum silly me...forget everything I said.

To change the size of Desktop icons....right click anywhere on Desktop and choose...Customize and change the icon size as shown... To move Desktop icons around...remove tick from Auto-arrange.

Most important of all...forget windoze...you won't get far thinking Linux is like windoze because it's nothing like it...as we say Linux isn't windoze for a good reason. Don't pay for Linux it's free...you need to download the latest version of Ubuntu (I use Mint) and burn it to a Flash Drive...
